Post Wedding Summary...Part 1

***I've decided to break this up into the little things that went wrong, things I would have added/changed (don't like the word regret), the big thing that went wrong and an overall summary of my thoughts of the day. I'm going to add one of my favorite pictures to each of the posts because looking at the pictures keeps it all into perspective for me.***

The little things that went wrong...

The Ties - So, our tux rental order got screwed up. I did not (and still do not) let this bother me because besides us going through the entire order the day we stopped by, there was nothing that could be done. We used what we were given and in the end, it looked fine. I don't think anyone noticed the different ties either...and if they did...congrats! I'm not sure if I would have noticed if no one had told me! In the end, we received a refund for 1 tux. Didn't change anything, but was a good peace offering.

My Shoes - They were great for most of the day, but I made the mistake of taking them off for a little bit at the reception...my feet were really hot...and I forgot to bring flip-flops. Once I took my shoes off, there was no way they were going back on. Even the next morning when we got picked up from our hotel...I was barefoot. Lesson learned - always bring flip flops!

My Bustle - My bustle technically broke twice. I did a lot of having it bustled and then not, so it was partially my fault, but there were only two buttons to hold it up. And while it looked good when the buttons were apart of the dress, I think the weight of my train was too much for the poor guys. We tried to used large safety pins, but they couldn't handle it either. So in the end...my train was a cape! Not sure how anyone else can prevent this, but after talking to some other brides...this is a very common problem...so be as prepared as you can! Maybe I was just dancing too much! Nah...no such thing!

I think that's cover the "little" things! Nothing that ruined the day, just added some extra thought into how to work through it.

Next up...things I would have added/changed!

You can find the recaps here.
