Wedding...MN Style: Reception Begins

***In the interest of getting these re-caps done...the next few posts will be picture heavy, but I hope to be fully done with all re-caps next week! Woo hoo!***

Well, to be honest, the party was already in full swing by the time we showed up! It was definitely a good thing that the entire bridal party was able to get some liquid courage (aka alcohol) in their system before being announced. Once we arrived at the reception hall, we lined up outside (as it started to sprinkle) and we all made our grand entrance. (Notice the difference between pre-alcohol pictures and the ones below are post-alcohol...they are having a much better time, don't you think?!?!)

Waiting for our turn...the DJ made the crowd be really loud!

I didn't want to have the above pic, but it happened! Call it caught up in the moment!

Wow...look at all those people!

Walking into the room full of love

We high fived the entire bridal party...not sure how that happened but it was fun!

Mr. 2SB gave a quick speech thanking everyone for being there and to be safe and use our sober shuttles!

Before you see the next picture, I need to fill you in on how this happened. During our rehearsal, the priest said that if any of us messed up during the ceremony, we owed him a bottle of champagne. However, if he messed up, he would buy us champagne. (Do you see where this is going?) So, at one point during the ceremony the priest used my sister's name instead of mine. I don't really remember where it was, but there were lots of giggles coming from the bridal party because we all knew there was some champagne coming to us! So the picture below is the priest giving us our champagne! I wasn't mad that there was the one mistake...he is human! It did only happen once and it wasn't when we were reciting our vows, so that was the good part!

Did your priest/officiant make any mistakes in your ceremony? Was it noticeable? How did you handle it?

LOVE your priest's comment! How awesome that he was prepared to follow through the same day - that's a fabulous anecdote!
