Wedding...MN Style: Kisses, speeches and cake!

***All pictures courtesy of our photographers***

We allowed the "glass clinking equals us kissing" game to only happen once or twice. After that, the DJ "randomly" chose from our RSVPs on who would kiss. I was more than happy to kiss Mr. 2SB, but I also wanted to eat!

We kissed...

My parents kissed...

Mr. 2SBs parents kissed...

The newly engaged couple kissed...

There were some more couples that kissed, but I know you don't want to see all of those!

While getting this re-cap ready, I realized I don't have any pictures of the food we served! It was served buffet style, except of the head table and the two reserved tables that had our immediate families. After our priest lead everyone in a prayer, the head chef came out and stood off to the side while 12 servers stood behind each person at the head table. He said some command and they all lifted our plates above their heads and after another command they placed our plates in front of us at the same time! I had no idea this was coming, but I thought it was an awesome way to get dinner started! I heard no complaints about the food (I thought it was delicious) or the guests having to go through a buffet line. It all seemed to work out well!

Then it was time to cut the cake!

Since we did centerpiece cakes, only the top tier was real...can't tell, can ya?!?!

It was really yummy, but ended up being the only bite I had all night (but I did enjoy a piece the next day!)

Then it was time to hear some lovely speeches by our MOH and Best Man.

My sister went first and did an amazing job! What she said...I have no idea! (Note to self: Get a copy of both speeches for the scrapbook I anticipate making!)

What better way to end a speech that with the bride having an ugly cry?

The best man also did a great job...he had everyone laughing! (Like how I'm checking out my bling in this picture...oops!)

Both speeches were great and you could tell that they both put a lot of work, thought and effort into them! Their delivery was also great! I knew my sister was very nervous, but I think the champagne and wine gave her the boost she needed!

Now that everyone was full...it was time for the slideshow and then some dancing...which will be next up!

Have you ever given a speech at a wedding? How did it go? How did the speeches go at your own wedding?
