Wedding...MN Style: The Ceremony Begins

While our my brothers/ushers were seating our guests, the rest of the wedding party was holding out near where I got ready. If guests came in the back door, they could see us, so I tried to hide underneath the stairs...it didn't really work all that well!

A few minutes before 4, we all started making our way to the back of the church to get lined up. Once we got to the top of the stairs we noticed a problem...my poor brothers/ushers were overwhelmed with guests and there was a line for people to get seated...Oops! (Guess we should have had that 3rd usher!) Thankfully our groomsmen know how to multi-task and 3 of them stepped in and helped my brothers finish up! However, the processional started right at 4PM...I'm still not sure how this happened, but I was glad we were on time! Although some of our guests weren't glad as construction season already started in MN and some people got stuck in traffic. Too bad for them!

(I just realized that I didn't share our ceremony music with you...sorry about that...I'll tie them in to the pictures! Click the links to listen to the songs.)

Our musicians had just finished our prelude of "I Will Be Here" arranged by Steven Curtis Chapman and the pianist had started "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" by J.S Bach when the processional began.

My brother's escorting my Grandma...the only surviving Grandparent Mr. 2SB and I have...I wish I knew what they were laughing about!

My brother's escorting my mom...I think they were more holding her up!

Mr. 2SB and his parents...I think he might be nervous here!

Then the bridal party made their way...not sure who told them not to smile, but most of them are not!

Then the Priest said "All Rise" (or something like that)...the music changed and it was time to walk down that long aisle with my dad!

Next up - my dad and I head down the aisle, but he had a secret to make my laugh/smile first!

Did your ceremony start on time? If you're not married yet, what are you doing to make sure you start on time or doesn't it really matter?

Love the music!

My plan is to make the processional of moms start at our "start" time... hoping that everyone is there by then!
